Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure where the upper or lower eyelid skin, and possibly some fat, is diminished.  This may be performed cosmetically for those wishing an alteration of their natural anatomy or functionally for age-related changes. 

On occasion an upper lid blepharoplasty may be performed to correct upper eyelid hooding leading to a decreased superior visual field.
